About me

Podcast expert & Creative Director

As Creative Director at audio agency Airborne, I create award-winning podcasts for great brands and special organizations, such as ANWB (Dutch Touring Club), Albert Heijn, the Dutch Police, the Jewish Cultural Quarter, publisher DPG and the KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Association).

My work has won more than 30 awards nationally and internationally, including Lovie Awards, Red Dot Awards, Webby Award, Dutch Podcast Awards and Dutch Creativity Awards.

I am part of several juries judging podcasts and digital audio, including the Dutch Podcast Awards, Webby Awards and the Dutch Creativity Awards.

Within the NPO-fonds, I am a committee member of the audio committee. The NPO Fund is part of public broadcasting and supports projects by independent creators, which have social relevance.

I share my love for podcasts and audio by writing for various media, including Adformatie (the main professional medium for media and advertising in the Netherlands) and LINDA. (a major Dutch media brand).

I am also affiliated with The Next Speaker and speak at events about the power of audio.

Strategy, concept & creation

Together with the creative digital agency Born05, I founded audio agency Airborne in 2018. Both agencies are now part of the agency group Ace.

From my role as Creative Director at Airborne, I help organizations tell stories that people want to listen to. I am always on the lookout for new and distinctive forms of storytelling, especially believing in high quality produced podcasts.

I am creatively responsible for concept development and execution, with a strong focus on podcasts. I also advise brands and media companies on their audio strategy.

Background
Telling stories is an important theme throughout my career. I started my working life writing scripts for prime-time drama and comedy series. After that, I worked as a journalist for various national magazines and newspapers.

Since 2010 I have been telling stories on behalf of brands. I was at the origin of one of the world's first international magazines for the iPad, commissioned by Volkswagen.

In 2013 I joined the Utrecht agency Born05. Together with a multidisciplinary team, I developed digital concepts, content strategies, and editorial content for brands such as telecom company KPN, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and ING.

Because of my love for storytelling, I have been a big fan of podcasts for years.
I have been producing podcasts for a variety of clients since 2017. My first production was the internationally award-winning "The Journey" for KLM. This was followed by numerous other award-winning productions for Albert Heijn, ANWB, Rituals and the Jewish Cultural Quarter, among others.

I believe that within this the audio domain, brands and publishers can be relevant with inspiring content, in a more intimate way than any other medium. This creates totally new opportunities to connect with target audiences.

From a strategic perspective, I develop formats for brands, publishers and other organizations that people enjoy listening to.
